Hello Friends,
This is Georgi TS and I hope you enjoyed last week’s ideas. For this week I have prepared Zurich and Barcelona as travel suggestions. I have visited Zurich and I enjoyed it very much. I think that Zurich would be perfect for a February trip.
If you decide to go to Zurich in February I definitely have a list of popular sightseeings that I would like to recommend.
I would like to start with the Grossmünster that I highly recommend everyone to see. This 12th-century cathedral is part of Zurich’s iconic skyline and has at least to be seen from the outside as it is a really large cathedral. Grossmüster is Romanesque-style Protestant church. For anyone interested in architecture the church is a must to be seen.
For anyone not interested in churches I highly recommend the Zurich zoo. In my opinion, the Vienna zoo is better than the Zurich zoo but the Zurich zoo is still an interesting zoo to visit. The Zurich zoo has more than 370 animal species and has a mini rainforest in it. I highly recommend to everyone to pay a visit to the zoo. I think you won’t regret it.
My Final recommendation for the sightseeing tour in Zurich is going to be the Zurich Opera House. I think that these three interesting sights in Zurich are a must.
The next destination that I will talk about is Barcelona. Barcelona is one of my favourite European cities, although I have not visited it. I will try to go as soon as possible to Barcelona because I have heard from numerous friends that it is an amazing city.
Barcelona is a vibrant and great-looking city. I would like to recommend couple of places that are worth your time when in Barcelona. My suggestions are Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, Park Güell and finally Casa Battló.
Sagrada Familia is a must see. You can’t go to Barcelona and not see Sagrada Familia. This building is famous for being under construction for a lot of time. It is also the tallest religious building in Europe. For the fans of interesting facts, the Sagrada Familia also happens to be the burial site of Gaudi so you might want to read more facts about Sagrada Familia before vising Barcelona.
My second recommendation is Camp Nou. Camp Nou is the stadium of Barcelona F.C. If you happen to be a football fan you must visit Camp Nou at all costs. Camp Nou is highly recommended by friends of mine who visited it in the last couple of years. You can visit the museum of the team and learn interesting facts about the generations of great football players that played for Barcelona. Even if you are not a football fan I still think that you can find Camp Nou highly interesting.
The Third recommendation that I can offer is Park Güell. It is an enormous garden with stunning and distinct architectural elements designed by the renowned Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí. The park along with Sagrada Familia in my opinion are the two sightseeings that you cannot leave Barcelona without visiting.
My final recommendation is Casa Battló. That was a long list, I hope I didn’t discourage you from travelling with my many suggestions. I will say for sure that I am almost entirely certain that you won’t regret visiting Casa Battló. Casa Batlló is known as “the House of the Dragon” and the symbolism on its façade is related to the Legend of Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia. If you are interested in architecture and history then you can read more about Casa Battló.
This will be the end of this week’s travel suggestions. I hope that you enjoyed my suggestions.
I hope you have an amazing week
I will write to you in the next one

I can't wait to visit Barcelona and see Park Güell. Zurich looks like a very good destination too.
Casa Battlo was suggested today by a friend of mine... Hours later I read about this building in the newsletter. That must be some kind of sign😆
